Hi I'm Joselene- the one behind the camera
Hi! I'm Joselene Maugherman. I was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida. Both of my parents are from Puerto Rico. I am 31 years old, married to my best friend and have two beautiful girls.
Photography truly is that one thing that I absolutely LOVE to do. I love every part of it. I have always been super creative/artistic so having a photography business allows me to explore that creative side more. It brings me joy and there is really nothing else I'd rather be doing. If I'm not taking photos with my Sony, I'm capturing with my phone.
I always knew I wanted to have my own business. I started with a legging business when I was 18, then got into a swimsuit business with my sisters when I was 20, when I turned 21, I got my personal training certification, worked at a big box gym for about a year and realized I wanted to start my own gym. My husband and I rented out a warehouse and we held one on one/group training there. Our personal training business was doing well, but when we were pregnant with Kezlin (baby girl #2) we decided to close down our gym to I could finish school. Once I finished my prerequisites I had plans to enter the nursing program, but again realized that wasn't what I truly wanted to do. It was then when I put myself out there as a wedding photographer in the making. Through all the different businesses, one thing remained the same, I was always my own photographer.
Little fun fact I bought my own camera when I was 13 years old with my birthday money I received that year. It was only $50, but hey it was a start!

Fun facts about my family and I:
My husband, Josh, and I are basically high school sweet hearts! We met my senior year and his junior year during soccer season. We both played and that season was when we became best friends.
We started dating his senior year and have been inseparable ever since!
Before we even started dating, we decided to get best friend tattoos! Yes our parents thought we were crazy (good thing it worked out!) and I hope our girls never pull that on us, haha.
Talking about our girls, our sweet little ladies, Ava, eight years of age, and Kezlin, three years of age. Both of our girls play soccer and absolutely love it. We are competitive about everything and our girls most defiantly got that trait too. We are currently homeschooling and enjoying the extra time we get with our kiddos.
All of us really love anything outdoors (fishing, boating, swimming, exercising, playing outside).
Both sides of our family have a lot of family members, so we really enjoy spending time with our siblings and family as much as we can.
We have a cutie mini hippo (half Cocker Spaniel and Chinese Share-Pei). Her name is Nala and she is a great family dog!
